Drop type lightning arrester

1、 Overview
Drop type (throwable, detachable) lightning arrester is a distribution type zinc oxide lightning arrester that is ingeniously installed on the drop type mechanism of a drop type fuse after modification. It can be easily inspected, repaired, and replaced with the help of an insulated switch control rod under continuous power supply, ensuring the smooth operation of the line and greatly reducing the workload and time of power maintenance personnel. It is particularly suitable for places where power outages are not advisable, such as communication, airports, stations, hospitals, bustling commercial areas, etc. The other performance of the product is the same as that of the distribution type lightning arrester.
The drop type lightning arrester has added a disconnector. In the event of an abnormal fault in the arrester, the disconnector is activated by the power frequency short-circuit current, causing the grounding terminal of the disconnector to automatically disconnect. The arrester components flip over and exit operation to prevent accidents from escalating, and it is easy for maintenance personnel to promptly detect and replace them. Its flipping principle is similar to a fuse, where the melting of the fuse causes the melting tube to flip over. 2、 Installation and usage instructions
1. Before installation and use, please check the tightness between the lightning arrester components and the drop mechanism to ensure good contact and flexible loading and unloading.
2. The upper terminal of the drop mechanism is connected to the high-voltage line, and the lower terminal must be reliably grounded and not connected in reverse. 3. The precautions for lightning arresters before and after operation are the same as those for distribution type lightning arresters. 4. When the lightning arrester needs maintenance or replacement, it can be easily operated by aligning the insulation switch control rod with the hook on the lightning arrester unit without power supply, just like replacing a drop type melting tube.
